Job Description

This is an amazing opportunity to make a huge impact on the campaigns, advocacy and rehabilitation work we do to empower people to fight against Dog Fighting.  In recent months, as part of our on-going investigations into Dog Fighting, the League has been raising the profile of Dog Fighting in the UK and working with Parlimentarians to improve sentencing and to review the Dangerous Dogs Act.

You will lead on the further development and delivery of the next phase of the League’s Dog Fighting programme. You will be an experiences leader with proven ability to inspire and manage a team. You will have a vision for the League’s programme and the capacity for creative thinking to make it happen. You will also have the ability to take difficult strategic choices, including managing opportunity and risk, and be comfortable delegating to the team and experts as appropriate.

The League is Britain's leading charity working to stop animals being abused and killed for ‘sport’. The League was instrumental in helping bring about the landmark Hunting Act. We carry out investigations which expose law-breaking and cruelty, work to change attitudes and behaviour through education, campaign for stronger laws and penalties, and manage sanctuaries which protect wildlife.
