Operations Manager
coram's fields

Job Description

Coram’s Fields, has for the past 80 years provided a safe haven for the children of London, where they can roam freely and safely in an environment that remains unique to this day.

Fundamental to our success over the years has been the provision of oustanding facilities across our seven acre site, providing access to a range of opportunities that support the personal, social, physical and educational development of children from birth to early adulthood.

Today, our site remains one of the most treasured open spaces for young people in London, attracting over 150,000 visitors a year and boasting facilities that include one of the largest adventure playgrounds in the capital, a small city farm, wildife garden, sand pits for smaller children and over two acres of 3G floodlit football pitches.

Our historic buildings, many of which date back 275 years to the days of the Foundling Hospital, provide the perfect backdrop through which we deliver a wealth of services for the local community.

Over recent years, our growth as an organisation and changes to the landscape in which we operate has created a need to develop further the infrastructure of the organisation, whilst also changing the way in which we utilise our site to best meet the diverse needs of the Charity. Over the last couple of years, this has seen us build capacity in key areas such as finance, fundraising and human resources.

We are now seeking to appoint an Operations Manager to take on responsibility for driving up operational and infrastructure effectiveness through management of the Office, Grounds and Finance teams, whilst also providing support to the CEO in developing strategically the work of the Charity.

You will be an outstanding leader with a commitment to quality and your ability to identify opportunities to improve working methods and practice across all areas of your work will be met with experience of managing change.

If you think you have the skills required to take on this exciting new role, we’d love to hear from you.

Closing date : 9am on Monday 30th January

Interviews will be held during w/b 6th February 2017
