Job Description
Swan in partnership with Basildon Council is looking to recruit both Independent and Resident members to the new Beechwood Village Community Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are keen to make a difference within this thriving community. We are looking for 2 Independent members to join the new Trust.
The Trust has been established to:
- Encourage inclusive social integration and positive activities
- Develop community safety initiatives
- Provide support for learning / training and development opportunities
- Promote the protection of the environment
The Trust will have an annual income of approximately £100k to spend upon delivering a programme of projects and initiatives to enhance the lives of the individuals that live on the Beechwood and Craylands estates in Basildon.
We are looking for indivdiuals who are keen to make a difference and who have the time and energy to help the trust become a thriving delivery vehicle.
The Trust will meet bi monthly for the first year and quarterly thereafter.
Members of the Trust will receive training and support from an independent mentor and an induction will also be provided.
Knowledge of and an understanding of Beechwood Village is preferable but not a necessity.
