CDARS is committed to provide a holistic approach within a needs- led service to enhance the quality of life of all people affected by substance and alcohol misuse and other vulnerable people in its locality.

Trustee

We are looking for individuals who would like to join us to strengthen our board of trustees. We need to have people who are sympathetic and motivated towards our aims and objectives and will actively participate in different ways: setting of overall policy, goals and targets; evaluating performance and help to keep high standards in terms of effective administration and financial stability; re-inforcing existing partnerships and identifying new networks of support..

We would like to hear from you if you like to join our Board of Trustees. Applications from individuals with relevant experience are very welcome and, in particular, who have an interest, skills and expertise in the following areas:

• Substance and Alcohol Misuse
• Families and Carers Support
• Corporate Governance and Charity Law
• Fundraising and further generation of income
• Human Resources

In particular we are interested in receiving application for a Treasurer position from applicants with finance and accounts knowledge and expertise.

Expectations would include:

• Attendance to our regular Board meetings, every two months, and our Annual General Meetings.
• Participate on an ad hoc basis, at extra events and offer support and advice based on areas of knowledge and expertise;
