Job Description

Locality are offering an excellent opportunity for a volunteer to join us for up to six month to support the development of our Knowledge Management team.  We are seeking a Volunteer Data Analyst to work alongside our newly appointed Knowledge Manager.

The role will support the development of our organisational knowledge, help create a greater understanding and usage of our shared data and support Locality to drive constant improvement and better integration across everything we do.

We are looking for:

  • Data analysis experience
  • Experience of using a Client Relationship Management System (we use Salesforce)
  • the ability to work through detailed/complex information
  • an understanding of Evaluation and Impact Analysis
  • Some policy experience
  • Good attention to detail – positivity and enthusiasm
  • Confidentiality and discretion

Tasks will vary but will include:

1) Data analysis (evidence and intelligence gathering), as part of this

  • to review various reports, documents, data we hold on our CRM (Salesforce)
  • have conversations with colleagues across the organisation to capture information/data they hold in their teams/centrally
  • speaking with some of our members
  • to collate, analyse and assess the data

2) Following this to help us identify stories, policy themes, messages, trends, impact of our programmes/services and membership activities.

3) Support the organisation to implement systems/processes or create a framework which enable us to understand how to effectively collate,  record, monitor, analyse and use data to inform organisational activities including new services/programmes, policy development, membership and influencing activities.
