Solent Mind is the largest voluntary and community sector provider of mental health services in the Hampshire region. 

Solent Mind is working in partnership with Solent NHS Trust to provide peer support to clients under secondary mental health services.

We are looking to employ a Peer Support Worker who is able to use their own lived experience of managing their mental health problems and recovery to offer community based support to clients in Portsmouth, providing hope and acting as a role model, to help promote a culture that supports and infuses the concept of recovery.

You will be supporting people with mental health problems on their recovery journey. 

This will include:

• Assisting people in setting realistic and positive goals and supporting people to review their progress.

• Providing practical support to service users in the development of personal and life skills with the aim of attaining greater independence and self-esteem.
