Fundraising Manager
solent mind

Job Description

Do you want to work for an established and respected local Mental Health Charity?

Solent Mind is the largest voluntary and community sector provider of mental health services in the Hampshire region.

Solent Mind is the leading mental health charity across Hampshire, Southampton and Portsmouth. Last year we worked directly with over 17,000 individuals, providing services such as talking therapies, wellbeing, peer support and advocacy.

Solent Mind has a turnover of approximately £5.5 million and an ambitious set of proposals for providing support and services to those that experience mental ill health, their carers, friends and their families. Like many charities, Solent Mind faces a considerable challenge in raising the income necessary to sustain existing programmes and to support new ones.

This role is an opportunity for a highly capable, confident and motivated individual to work in the Business Development Department at Solent Mind.  The department is responsible for raising both unrestricted and restricted income. We are looking for an ambitious professional with demonstrable skills in developing and delivering a fundraising strategy.  You will be able to inspire and build confidence and trust at a senior level.  You will have a strong working understanding of a wide range of income generation sources for charities.  You will have an aptitude for figures, a keen eye for detail and an ability to analyse the performance of fundraising streams.

This role will manage the development and delivery of the Fundraising Strategy, to include staff, budget and fundraising activity management as well as liaising at a strategic level with key stakeholders and funders.

Previous charity fundraising experience is essential for this role.
