Play Works research and evaluation mentor
london play

Job Description

London Play is a charity dedicated to making the capital a city fit for children to grown up in. Play is a crucial part of their development and our projects ensure they have the time and space to play freely and safely.

We are looking for a Play Works Research and Evaluation Mentor

Salary:£32,221 (including LW) pro rata

Hours: 21 hours a week

Closing date: midday, Monday 8 June 2015

We are looking for someone with excellent people and evaluation skills to manage an exciting three year project which will quantify the social benefits of London's adventure playgrounds and other play providers.

Play Works is a three-year project funded by the City Bridge Trust. It will see London Play working with 21 play providers across London to give them the skills, tools and staff time needed to measure the social impact of their work and thereby demonstrate their vital benefits to local children and communities.

Providers will include a number of London’s wonderful adventure playgrounds, which offer a unique play experience to thousands of children, often living in the capital’s poorest neighbourhoods. Yet despite their value, they are under threat: two long-standing and popular sites have been axed in the past two years alone.

The successful candidate will possess strong evaluation and research skills and be able to support others to help demonstrate the value of their services and secure their future for generations to come.
