Male Mentor Outreach Worker

10-15 hours per week

FIXED TERM 12 MONTH CONTRACT

£8,000-12,000 (£28,000 pro rata based on a full-time week of 35 hours)

Are you active, efficient and a great listener? Do you have experience of home visiting families? Family Friends is an award-winning family support charity based in North Kensington. The charity provides long-term practical and emotional help to disadvantaged families living in Kensington & Chelsea and Hammersmith & Fulham through mentoring and befriending services.  We have a strong record for ‘helping families to help themselves’. We are recruiting for a part-time Male Mentor Outreach Worker to join our team.  The role includes:

  • Providing mentoring and befriending support to referred boys
  • Monitoring family welfare and problem solving on case issues
  • Contributing to volunteer recruitment strategy and training
  • Attending team meetings
  • Some evening and weekend work is required

Family Friends is an Approved Provider of The Mentoring & Befriending Foundation and 2013 winner of The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
