Digital Fundraising Manager

Job Description

My client is a large cancer charity based in London looking for a Digital Fundraising Manager whom will play a key role in driving the continued income growth of the Fundraising team and delivering a growing and engaged supporter base. This is an exciting role with a real opportunity to test new ideas and ways of working.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with colleague across Fundraising to share insight and best practice on maximising current digital activity including digital advertising, email marketing, social media engagement, online giving and online giving platforms
  • Identify and develop new digital fundraising campaigns or products to meet net income and ROI targets, working closely with the Heads of Fundraising, Digital Marketing team and Head of Digital Programmes on their scoping and delivery.
  • Analyse the effectiveness of Fundraising digital activities and produce and share insight to inform future work
  • Act as the Fundraising Division expert on digital fundraising and social media, keeping up to date on sector trends and sharing insight and ideas
  • Be the main point of contact for the Head of Digital Programmes on fundraising infrastructure projects such as improving the online cash donation/direct debit functionality; developing fundraising website forms; developing and tracking online fundraising supporter journeys
  • Work with colleagues across the organisation on ‘digital initiatives to engage supporters in all the ways they can help and on other digital work such as SEO, web user journeys, PPC etc
  • To manage external agencies as required
  • To represent the charity at external events and meetings
  • Any other duties as required by the Director of Fundraising

Essential candidate criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of digital fundraising and supporter engagement including a track record of delivering successful digital fundraising projects or campaigns
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of social media as a supporter engagement tool
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully building relationships with supporters to maximise their potential for a charity
  • Knowledge of the digital fundraising sector: key trends, technology, ideas
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with a range of internal and external audiences including colleagues inside and outside of Fundraising
  • Experience of managing external agencies to deliver briefs to deadline, scope and budget
