Job Description

Having led 4SIGHT for the last eight years, our CEO has indicated his intention to take retirement later this year. The Charity is now seeking an able successor with a strong track record including not-for-profit or charity management, business development, income generation, financial management skills and a demonstrable open leadership style. Candidates with background knowledge of the NHS, as a practitioner or manager, with financial management, partnership working or programme management experience would equally be considered.A practical and successful record of applications for funding and/or contracts incorporating service levels and outputs would also be an advantage, as these activities are central to the Chief Executive role.

4SIGHT supports the needs of people with vision impairment in West Sussex through the delivery of a range of free and subsidised services in the home, localities, and within major hospitals, with a strong track record for quality, innovation, management and community support.

Candidates should be aware of the Charity’s performance metrics, and have a clear vision of how they would contribute towards 4SIGHT’s future. Candidates should also be competent users of all modern office software packages, able to produce their own correspondence, written reports and funding approaches and be able to work flexibly across the county.
