Job Description

Southwark Diocesan Welcare is a charity which runs family support work, counselling and parenting groups in South London and a children's centre in East Surrey.  Our work is primarily focused on preventive intervention for hard-to-reach and at-risk families who are referred to us or approach us for support for various reasons including mental health or disability in the family, poverty, exclusion, involvement of social services, lack of parenting skills or poor behaviour in a child.   We employ 23 members of staff and have a bank of about 50 volunteers.

We have a vacancy for a trustee from a finance background to fill the role of Honorary Treasurer and Chair of the Finance and Properties Committee.
