We are a national charity whose purpose is to improve life for everyone affected by Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).  These lifelong and debilitating conditions affect over 300,000 people in the UK with nearly half of those being diagnosed each year under the age of 29.  Our work covers a broad range of activities designed to achieve a better quality of life, improve support and services and, ultimately, find a cure.

We are recruiting a Patient Engagement Officer with the confidence, commitment and skills to support and empower patients to contribute effectively to research projects, consultations and local and national health improvement initiatives across the UK

Currently based in St. Albans, Hertfordshire the successful candidate will work as part of a newly formed Policy, Public Affairs and Research team.  This will be a pro-active role for someone who has previous experience in a patient and public involvement or patient engagement role within a health or voluntary sector environment.
